COVID will be no different than flu or pneumonia. It will be year-around, but concentrating in 'flu season' (late September through March or April). Death statistics already show it's only slightly more lethal than the various strains of influenza, and if you combine the death rates of flu and pneumonia, it is far less deadly.

I note that you do not use Scientific journals in your citations. I have corrected that for you. From John Hopkins University Hospital:

    https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/map.html

The WHO estimates that between 290,000 and 650,000 respiratory deaths globally each year are associated with seasonal influenza. Coronavirus (COVID-19) Death Toll stands at 825,794 as of 27th August 2020

First case detected by Chinese authorities was on 31 December 2019. The projected death toll for Covid-19 is 2 to 3 million. So with very conservative projections 4 to 10 times more deadly.

And that is after the entire world economy has been stopped in it’s tracks and most sensible countries are on lockdowns of some extent.

The knock effects to Cancer patients (Mr Siamese Cat a contributor to this forum being one of those Cancer patients effected.), those with HIV, the elderly and immunocompromised is deadly.

The only hope for these people is a Vaccine. Which those with sense are rushing through.

    Original Article: https://www.newscientist.com/article/2251722-everything-you-need-to-know-about-russias-coronavirus-vaccine-claims/

I have put Scientific Paper describing how this form of vaccine is produced - up for download, as unfortunately, because of Robert Maxwell, the general public don’t have access to The Web Of Knowledge, or put another way 90% of the internet.

    https://ulozto.net/file/YpLlnQctgZV5/single-shot-ad26-for-review-by-m-takam-pdf

But for example here are some knock on effects killing people if we only take into account your reality of Covid-19 being a bit of mole hill turned into Everest.

    https://www.thelancet.com/journals/landia/article/PIIS2213-8587(20)30271-0/fulltext

    https://www.thelancet.com/journals/eclinm/article/PIIS2589-5370(20)30227-3/fulltext

    https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanonc/article/PIIS1470-2045(20)30392-2/fulltext

    https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)31356-8/fulltext

So in my humble opinion not a mole hill – more and utter calamity for all those kids and adults with cancer. Anyone that needs medical treatment. Oh and the 2 to 3 million dead by Christmas.

No comment on that ... as I'm too scared to speak the truth. I'm not so much scared by the virus itself (just part of Nature, there will always be another virus. No-one can defy Nature), it's how the World shut down with it that terrifies me. I'm just glad I won't have to live forever. To me, the quality of life is more important. Longevity is overrated.

When you make up quotes from “Great Philosophers” It might be an advantage to actually understand the concept of philosophy. No philosopher would ever say "it's better to be loved than to be right." And in actuality no philosopher has.

The smell of petrol - gasoline to you folk stateside: I am sure it smells quite different now to what I recall it being when I was a child. Back then, I thought it a pleasing aroma, but now find it rather nauseating. I know olfactory sense changes as we age, but I wonder if petrol/gas actually does have a different smell today from what it had in 1940's/1950's.

Just wondered if anyone else has observed this?

Yea, it used to have a more 'oily'? smell, didnt burn your eyes so quickly, felt oily on your fingers. <- I used to use it for solvent working on my (multiple!) VW's motors, the stuff is just nasty now.

I'm sure you will find some "scientific" citations mixed in with all the anecdotal ones...maybe even some lefty-liberal sources too. I regret I have not had time to put the research in chronological order, as this would suggest a pernicious progression of the MSM coverage. The last part includes flu and pneumonia statistics for comparison, which I also have not had time to bring into sharper focus.
