    1) Install:

    -Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0

-Install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0.3705 and It's SP3.

    -Copy "Copy2Gac.exe" to "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705"

-Install Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 and its SP1.

    2) Navigate : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA and create a key named TabletPC now add a string value named "Installed" and set as 1

from THIS THREAD, did you download the .nets from my onedrive? both files you listed should come from these .nets.

with 1.1 installed go to microsoft updates and do a custom search, then look for any .net 1 updates and install.

also when you install .nets sometimes you have to shutdown to install and not restart , you can tell by going to start/turn off computer and then look at the shutdown button and it will have a little shield icon by it if you have to shutdown and then the pc will install an you just have to wait. :)

Long story short, xp drivers won’t longer connect me to WiFi. Now while it seems like obvious that I shouldn’t use this to go on the internet, this laptop has better WiFi strength than my win10 cheap laptop. And since I like this feature I’m going to either go to windows vista or windows 7. Do ya know which version would be better? I know that Toshiba only has support for this laptop up to vista but I hear windows 7 is better because it’s less ram intensive? Should I go win7 or vista?

In this link on post #2 of this thread, there are numerous XP downloads. Please see attachment below.

    1. What do the letters k, kn, n that appear after the words "en_windows_xp_professional_" mean?
    XP versions.png

    2. When I hover over those download links, I see the complete strings, and the numbers that appear at the end of the download links are significantly different, such as: 14-80428.iso, 14-92445.iso etc. etc. What does this mean and which one should I choose?
    3. In other downloads I have also seen the the term "VL" and "Integrated". I am clueless about these also. Please have pity on me and explain these o_O

P.S. The link I copied above doesn't seem to work on this post, but the original link at post #2 is working fine.

    Thank you.

When the word 'Delta' is added to the end of the string, does it mean that it is from the company Dell (OEM)

How do I recognize an XP ISO file that has not been modified by others. What I mean is, an original microsoft edition, without additions or changes.

    From this link:
    en_windows_xp_professional_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_vl_x14-73974.iso 589.1 MB
    en_windows_xp_professional_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_x14-80428.iso 589.1 MB

The only difference between these 2 is the 'vl' just before the numbers at the end (I changed the colour to red to high-lite). What is the difference signified by 'vl'.

    This seems to explain it:
    https://duckduckgo.com/?q=what+is+meant+by+"VL"+in+windows+xp&t=ffnt&ia=web

"KN is made for the Korean Market and does not include Windows Media Player or an Instant Messenger. VL are volume license editions for business enterprise customers and uses MAK (Multiple Activation Keys) or KMS (Key Management Server) to activate."

I don't understand how MAK and KMS work, but it looks like we may not be able to activate this VL version. Am I right?
