Windows 7 is my favorite OS, period. Also, I like any version of Linux that comes with KDE Plasma 5.

What wizardry shall they perform next?

God I forgot I had an account here.

    winXP, Linux Mint v19.2 xfce, win7, 98SE
Raised the white flag and rolled one XP machine over to Linux last week.
My brand new WiFi router at the cottage apparently had a zero tolerance policy for XP.
The router and Linux Mint was an instantaneous "love at first sight" situation.

The thing I miss most about the windows O/Ss after transitioning my working rigs to Linux is the little unique sign on/sign off theme tune each windows O/S had.
Linux - no sign on/sign off tune.:(

Oh come on. Linux Mint Cinnamon has the logon/logoff sounds, or at least startup and shutdown.

No log on/off jingle for Linux Mint XFCE?
That’s what I’m running on my legacy Linux rigs with modest hardware attributes.
    They were sluggish with Cinnamon.

And for the old computers with low memory.

I just don't like the overall look of XFCE.

Like my ancient old IBM G40.
You're watching a movie OR you're shopping on eBay.
    Not both.
    But that's fine with me.
For "production" tasks I have other muscle rigs.

I have been using MX Linux long enough now to say it is the clear winner of the 20+ Linux distros I have given a test drive over the past few years, and will be installed on my secondary HDD. Runner up for use as LiveCD is a tie between Kodashi Linux 6.2 and TAILS.
