The Biggest Hollywood Films Originated from China

Rest assured, folks, the South China Sea artificial islands are safe...

"It is the rule in war, if ten times the enemy's strength, surround them; if five times, attack them; if double, be able to divide them; if equal, engage them; if fewer, defend against them; if weaker, be able to avoid them."

-- The Art of War by Sun Tzu

If any country feels like engaging China in the South China Sea with their few warships/carrier attack groups in "freedom of navigation" patrols, that's only b/c they didn't read The Art of War:

Chinese Navy Conducts Live Fire Drill in East China Sea

The Chinese navy conducted a live fire drill in the East China Sea on Thursday.

The exercise involved more than 100 warships, dozens of aircraft and several missile launch battalions, navy sources said.

It was the third drill on such a large scale in two months. The previous two were conducted in the Yellow Sea and South China Sea.

They are regular drills in the navy's annual training plan, the sources said.

Nearly 100 missiles and several hundred shells and bombs were fired during the exercise.

The majority of navy forces in the drill were from the Donghai Fleet. The Beihai and Nanhai Fleets as well as the Air Force also took part.

The drill tested coordination among the Navy's different forces and Air Force, the sources said. Destroyers, frigates, submarines, fighters and onshore support forces were all put through their paces.

A number of the missiles deployed in the drill will be displayed during the Sept. 3 military parade in Beijing, according to the sources.

Imagine a saturation (simultaneous missiles launch) attack by China's 100+ warships, planes, submarines on a few Aircraft Carrier attack groups using some of the most advanced weaponry, like undulating missiles designed to avoid the enemy's defenses, and missiles that suddenly speed up 3-5X at supersonic speeds as they enter their target's range...

Pics from a recent annual live fire drill (that involved China's 100+ warships, planes and submarines) close to the South China Sea:

Striking the mountain to warn the tiger, once again, the show of some advanced Chinese weapons during last week's live fire drill close to the South China Sea: The missile shown below has the following characteristics:

1. Enhanced range: 500km+ (2 times of Brahmo's) <--- means it can be launched (from a bomber) far far away from enemy's attack range

2. Supersonic speed "S-maneuver" at terminal phase (cannot be intercepted)

Some military experts will be very worried...

Plus, look at how many (war-)ships already dock at the artificial South China Sea islands:

This big bad boy was deployed to China's East coast, but was too expensive to be fired in the live fire drill next to the South China Sea last week:

Having said all of that, China has always adhered to a path of peaceful development. It has always been China's policy to let her opponent fire the first shot, but make sure they never get the chance to fire the second...

Eatup, you seem to have a great interest in China. Have you lived there? They seem to have come a long way very fast in the last few decades. Anyway, thanks for posting those images: enjoyed perusing them.

I have yet to set foot in China, but maybe in the near future... Anyways, I don't know about in the UK, but for anyone interested, there are 15-day tour packages that you can get from a travel agency in North America that takes you to Avatar Hallelujah Mountain, and lets you walk on the recently erected glass bridge nearby. All this comes at an unbeatable price of approx. USD $1000 per person (and that includes round trip airfare and hotel stay for all 15-days)!

A very curious event transpired in the disputed East China Sea islands between China and Japan recently:

default.jpeg

The series of events unfolded as follows:

1. Two Chinese planes were doing regular patrol in the disputed area

2. The Japanese scrambled two jets to intercept them

3. The Japanese jets approached the Chinese planes with their radars locked onto them to light them up

4. The Chinese planes responded with the appropriate maneuver

5. The Japanese jets dropped flares and fled

6. The Chinese planes escorted the Japanese jets out of their Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ)

So, why did the Japanese jets drop flare and flee? That's b/c the Chinese Air Force possess this recently inducted missile, the PL-10:

1. Short range (60km) air-to-air missile

2. Hypersonic Mach 4 speed

3. Electro-optical most advanced Go-Onto-Target (GOT) missile guidance system (once being locked, it is impossible for the enemy aircrafts to get away)

4. Strong anti-counter measure (able to distinguish all chars/flares from engine exhaust)

Test to prove the Chinese have mastered high speed railways technology: Two bullet trains sliding past each other at 420km/hr each on parallel tracks (that's a dizzying 840km/hr relative speed)!

The gap between the two trains was only 1.6 meters when they met and the passengers, mostly technicians and journalists, felt only the slightest of jolts during the encounter. At a relative speed to one another of 840 km per hour, these trains are effectively travelling at the same speed as a cruising airliner.

Next target for artificial island development, the Scarborough Shoal in the South China Sea:

This "island" had been historically Chinese property and was illegally occupied by the Philippines as far back as 2013 and which China took back during an intense stand off during that very same year.

This is what the shoal looks like right now, an undeveloped stretch of reef in the sea. Just watch "China speed" turn it into an artificial inhabitable island complete with runways and military outposts in a few short years sometime in the near future:

PLA Air Force conducts combat air patrol in South China Sea

BEIJING, July 18 (Xinhua) -- The People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force conducted a combat air patrol in the South China Sea recently, which will become a "regular" practice in the future, said a military spokesperson on Monday.

The PLA sent H-6K bombers and other aircraft including fighters, scouts and tankers to patrol islands and reefs including Huangyan Dao (aka Scarborough Shoal), said Shen Jinke, spokesman for the PLA Air Force.

Strategic triangle between Woody Island, Scarborough Shoal, and the recently developed artificial Spratly Islands. If any (US) forces attack Scarborough Shoal during and post its development, there will be immediate military response from the other 2 points of the strategic triangle:

Being the ones who wrote The Art of War, the Chinese have planned it out far in advance. Any attack at one point and the other two points of the triangle will counter:

By contrast, the Japanese Okinotorishima artificial islands (what they did when they were the 2nd largest economy in the world):

(Those spotted structures were submerged at high tides, so the Japanese put concrete upon those "specs" to claim an unreasonably huge Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) around the artificial structures).
