Good going... I have not tried even the first one yet been mostly concentrating on Modeler stuff which I've about scoured everywhere now Time for testing... I have added quite a few plugs but also deleted quite a few... There's a wide range of quality in the freewares even if they swear it will work in 6.5...

Here's Eki's PlugPak which is a cornucopia of scripts that do cool stuff if they work at all... They probably do as they were commercial/nag...

Info page-

DL Page 6.5 is at bottom there's 3 things to DL (the NAG version)-

Have not yet tried... Looks promising especially if 'Fast Fake Radiosity'... FAST!

The Terry Ford Mirror Tools don't seem to come back I guess I already had them on a disc-

https://web.archive.org/web/20030401151844/http://www.terryf.dsl.pipex.com/htm/frameplugins.shtml

Now these work quite good & are a permanent part of my GUI in Modeler

It's small so will attach here... It is a RAR file but I had to change it to ZIP I guess RARs not allowed- So change extension back to RAR-

By Chance I did some fieldwork.

Your link works fine:
https://web.archive.org/web/2002060...olumbus.fi/erkki.halkka/plugpak/Download.html

And should be used to download:
Registered_PlugPak - From Mirror01

SkyGen Presets - From Mirror01

PlugPak Freebies - From Mirror01

Randomize - From Mirror01

Unregistered PlugPak Update - From Mirror01

Because there is another page with dead links, yet gives the passwords by the author of the plugs:
http://web.archive.org/web/20221202183228/http://www.kolumbus.fi/erkki.halkka/plugpak/Download.html

Here's the passwords to remove the nagging requesters:
Eki's Plugpak: 9aidnaluslah9
Eki's Modpak: 8larcuslah8

So I tried it and it unlocked
Registered_PlugPak - From Mirror01

Trying to unlock
Registered PlugPak Update - From Mirror01
Does not seem to work. So I guess it's Unregistered PlugPak Update - From Mirror01 (4 Updates)

You are quite the digger... Making me look bad in front of...OF...NOBODY!

I guess we are pretty much it except for a few stragglers & unrelenting porn promoters...

Where is the 'ModPak?'... I had come across it recently but it ain't been found...

BTW I followed the 'dead link but reg info' link & this is what I got, been getting this more & more... Glad I'm pretty much finished raping the wayback machine-

So i assume the paks work fine? Or maybe you need time to check out...

Well, I tested 'Texturescape' & it works fine... Sounds like a shader plug but it's a Modeler plug for making terrains in a unique way, pretty easy to use as well-

Here's KW-EdgeSmoother which is an 'edging' tool, doubling up an edge in even fashion, can be used again & again...

If your points are connected by 4 then it will create a quad at the intersection & you can TAB into subpatch... If your points are connected by three like in a regular box then it will make a triangle so you can't subpatch unless you tri the whole box...

This is the medicated version as the freeware one had limitations...

 It sure is gettin' thin 'round here. But people are viewing... Just can't figure the Admins not wanting more traffic by simply fixing the Register New Account issue...

I'm only archiving the software. Always a chance my son will get back into it or if I meet a collaborator for my projects...
I don't think he made ModPaks for v 6.5 (?) Either way, it seems lost to the world...

Collecting up for your son?... Pretty cool... my father would've never collected up anything for me, a family of backstabbers I got...

Well I tested out the Eki PlugPak... NO GO! It requires a bit later LScript so it was made in a later build of 6.5...

Easy way to get rid of those from GUI is to shut LW down with task manager, still have to remove the scripts...

I find that LScripts in LW to be a real bitch... Don't like them at all very version/build dependent to the extreme... The plugins there is leeway...

Still, LW 6.5 pretty impressive especially when you consider that a raw install without adding presets, extra plugs, docs or content it's only 26 MB in size with mostly numerous EXEs that has the best native render engine starting with 6 & going up.... I think GMax which is based on Max4 is like 40 MB but it's super stripped down from Max4...

Sure others have 'glued-in' render engines like mental ray or addons like brazil, finalRender, Vray, etc but you must learn a new feature & they must have their own materials, lights, etc which are not compatible with say other third-party procedural texture addons like Dark Tree or IFW2...

LW6 on 1999 using HDRs & GI was quite the deal, others got off the toilet to catch up...

Yes, we are getting views here I see actually this LW thread had a boost... The Max 4.2 thread pretty popular also C4D XL6...

This is why I open share on here for those 'out there' who cannot signup... I have gotten plenty in the past without signing up might as well pay it forward...

Here's the Dosch3D Light Effect Scenes Lightwave Edition... Probably the most efficient sized one of them all with 271 scenes with a total size of 65 MB uncompressed...

Lot's of 'LightPlay' Study scenes to see what's going on with various components... Also the object is not to render dented balls but to replace the balls with objects that YOU wanna render...

None of the scenes have radiosity or GI but quite a few have volumetrics which is all the images except for the last one- I did nothing except change the resolution from 320x240 to 960x720 then hit F9...
