Internet Explorer doesn’t load pages

So I just installed Windows XP on VirtualBox with my Mac and I really like it. I followed a tutorial and managed to connect my Virtual Machine to my internet connection, but whenever I try to browse the internet I can only go on google. Basically, it loads any google search just fine (images and videos included) but it won’t open any link at all. It just gives me an error saying it may be a problem from the firewall. I’ve been searching for hours and literally don’t know what to do. I just installed Windows XP for the nostalgic look but I’m gonna uninstall it if it only occupies space in my hard drive and has no use at all.

Bear in mind that XP is a 20 year old OS so the built-in web browser is obsolete. You would probably have the same problem surfing the web with an IMac. Fortunately some updated chromium browsers have been back-ported to work with XP.

Download it to your MAC then copy it to the XP virtual machine.
Thank you so much. I did this and it worked. Now I can kinda browse the web, but it isn’t supported by socials like YouTube or Twitter…

I can't explain why, seems to work for me.
