XP Problems

Hi everybody :

I've got some serious problems with my copy of XP Pro/32-bit.
Apparently, the updates for XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 "fail" to install. And the same for .Net Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1. Some of the Automatice Downloads are just downloads, and some are Security Updates.
I checked my System and found out that I've got Service Pack 3 installed.
Does this mean that I ALREADY have SP 2 installed ?

Due to the System errors, I'm thinking about doing a "clean" install of Windows XP Pro/32-bit. I've been doing some research on it....how to do it, etc.............
I think I made a mistake when I re-installed Windows the last time. When I went to re-install it, I got the message that stated "putting another OS in the same partition could cause the OS not to function correctly". I am now having problems with some of my software not running correctly.

hi there
you need a separate partition for each os, ms dos disk will help set the disk or use another hdd an install there
