    I have a problem,
I have downloaded avast, zonealert and skype. They are all websetup files. And the thing is, they do not work. I get an error all the time that says: Can not access the specified device, path or file. You may not have access permissions for the item.

It is very irritating, because what is Windows xp without skype, avast and zone alarm.

    Can someone help me please?
    Thank you very very much

can you download the offline installers for the programs? is it just these programs or everything? if it is all downloads then we just need to fix the .exe file association

run chkdsk with the /r parameter
