    HI to everyone;

    I just joined and hope someone can help.

    I have a new HP notebook running Windows 8.1. I have many old games that need Windows XP like the MYST games.

    The questions are:
    1. can I install and run Windows XP from a bootable USB flash drive?
    2. Will I be able to run the games using my computer assets like the CD drive, etc?

    Thanks in advance for any help and or suggestions.

    Dan

    thank you.

    I previously found sites for creating the windows xp .bootable USB but could find no reference to being able to run games.

    One of the things I was worried about was will the windows xp be able to recognize the newer assets like the CD/DVD player.

    Thanks for all the info!
