Windows XP forum can not be used from Windows XP

This forum devoted to Windows XP does not work in Internet explorer 8. And forum is behind nasty Cloudflare & uses nasty CAPTCHA from nasty Google. How is that?

 

I dont know, maybe the owners of the forum dont know about it yet.

Theres more browsers than ie8 for xp tho.

 

Who in their right mind would want to use IE anyways, , , ,

 

I can see this forum fine when using the Pale Moon browser.

ie8 was rendered inoperable many years ago, please read through the posts in this forum discussing xp browsers.

 

IE 8 basically can't enter any website besides Google.com.

 

In reality Internet explorer pretty good especially in comparison with Google Chrome & modern versions of Firefox.

 

In what way is it good ? You can't enter to any website with it. Plus with active x it was very vulnerable.

 

This. ActiveX was a huge security hole and was widely exploited by hackers. Just visiting a dodgy website would cause malware to be downloaded and installed without prompting the user. I used Netscape then Firefox to avoid this but I had to help many unsuspecting IE users back then. Unfortunately you had to use IE for Microsoft's websites or download updates because it relied on ActiveX.

Internet Explorer is the browser you use to download another browser.

 

At least it looks good. Among other things.

 

I remember there was a skin for firefox that would make it look similar to IE7. But I don't know if it exist anywhere or if it is compatible with Newmoon or Serpent Browser.

I'm posting this with xp running ffesr 52-something portable that was the last xp browser.

And I thought this wouldn't work, but even chrome 45 portable works if you ignore the https error.
