Windows XP activation with no internet access

Here's my problem I bought Windows XP to run some old 32 bit programs in a virtual machine. I have the installation ID, and the key to activate it. What I don't have is internet access on the virtual machine. I tried to do all this with my smart phone and it didn't work. Activation should be easy, right?! Not so much really. Automated support doesn't make it any easier either. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
