Windows security shortcut in windows xp

    I would like an icon on the quick launch which opens the windows security menu (when you press ctrl-alt-delete) how do i add a shortcut to the Windows security menu

    right click on an empty space on the desktop, choose NEW, choose SHORTCUT, click on browse, local disk/windows/system32/taskmgr.exe, click ok, type a different name if you so choose, then OK, and you have a shortcut to Task Manager on your desktop,

    I do not know what you mean when you say "windows security menu", when I press crtl+alt+del, I get the task manager.

    hmmm...I have never gotten that menu, are you on a virtual machine, if so, then one of the members that use virtual machines should be able to answer the question :)

    You get that menu when the welcome screen is disabled
