This computer has started to forget the selected 'themes' chosen colors, whichever theme happens to be selected. On boot-up, the comp/system reverts to the 'classic' colors. Opening (desktop) properties shows the selected theme with its chosen colors/text size/desktop image/etc, in the properties box, but not on the desktop. Always the 'classic' blue colors. When I select the already selected theme & apply, everything is as it is supposed to be. When this first started, it was like once a week, now, more often than not, it does not show chosen theme. The right desktop theme image is shown, its always the colors reverting.

    What gives??

(Its been the same color scheme since Windows 3.1, I'm just accostomed to them)
(I'll 'screenshoot' it next time it happens, "tomorrow"!)
    (Its mainly just an annoyance, , , , ,)

Kellys has been down for quite some time. I had d/l'ed the savesettings.reg years ago, I'll give it a try (have to find it) found it) & see what happens, , , , Cant find 'restorethemes.reg' anywhere, found restorethemes.txt, in notepad a huge amount of data/text compared to viewing savesettings.reg/txt (notepad. I'm leery about renaming it to .reg & running it, , , ,
the savesettingsdotreg, txt is *.reg, renamed to *dotreg.txt, it is from kellys from years ago. rename to *.reg, , , , only way to upload it, , , , ,

okay, let me know if it conks out again, :)

sometimes system restore will only work in safe mode, but I do not use system restore, I use ERUNT as it is better than system restore, :)

    Well, I spoke too soon!
Now, the image set for a particular theme is changing, besides the classic blue colors coming back.

Ran chkdsk twice ('bout an hour ago) Both reboots like they are supposed to be (colors right) but, (!!! <- bet you saw that coming!) --- I'm a lefty & have l-h mouse pointers, they reverted to 'normal'. I reset them & will see how it goes.
