wierd xp os

I have a HP Pavilion zd8000 laptop,(from ebay).
When i checked the version of xp in cmd prompt,reads as follows
Microsoft Windows XP Professional.
However when click on the icon (my computer) go to properties,in general it states.
Windows XP Media Entertainment Center.
Can this be solved easily?

go to msconfig (start>run> type in msconfig and click ok)

on the boot.ini tab, click check all boot paths

and what os does it say??

Sorry,
I did look in boot.in,also reads xp media ent. center.
When I open cmd prompt to scan now,it asks to load cd for XP pro.
I have the cd for xp media ent. center.

Since you bought this from ebay, I believe that it may have been how it was installed by whoever installed the os before sale.

If you ever have to do a reinstall then you have the discs and any variation of the xp version should sync.
