My XP used to simply run up when I switched it on.
Now I get a text screen which has a list of the machine's hardware and it says
the machine is unworkable and to check the CPU soft menu.

It also gives me the option of looking at the set up in the bios and to check the soft menu by pressing delete or to continue by pressing F1

The BIOS looked OK to me and if I press F1 the machine runs up perfectly normally and works fine.

How might this have come about and how can I get the machine to run XP straight up when I switch on please.
