Why are lightsaber blades straight?

    I just want to hear your opinion on the matter.

    Einstein said that gravity can bend light.

    It's not inconceivable a lightsaber could do the same to bend its laser blade.

    I thought GL wanted to imitate the Samurai weaponry as close as possible.

    So, what's everyone's opinion?

    Why are lightsaber blades straight?
