    Hello All,
First post here. My old XP computer has a background or wallpaper of a beloved car. The original picture is gone somehow but it still must be somewhere else to still show up as a background. File name is sketchy, but I'd know if I saw it.
Can somebody tell me the location of this file?
    Thank you,
    Mark S.

Hey, sorry for delay. It is not there but the picture remains as my wallpaper. That's why I figured another copy may exist. I checked the trash bin too...

use REGEDIT and go to the following keys:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop\General\Wallpaper
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop\General\BackupWallpaper

These will have the filename/location of the current wallpaper.
