The title says it all. The only way to adjust my volume lower than it is right now is to go to Control Panel. :confused:o_O

    In control panel
    select 'Sounds and Audio Devices'
    select 'Volume' tab
put checkmark (ie click if not set) in box labelled 'Place volume icon in the taskbar'.
click apply, then OK at the bottom.

Yeah, well, I had that checked already. But I unchecked it and re-checked it and got it fixed.

    :):):)

this appears to be the main fix, or sometimes just a restart will fix a problem, sometimes when my usb ports stop accepting a flash drive, (even though it did a few minutes earlier ) I just restart and/or run checkdisk :)

so far for me, 90% of any of my errors has been fixed with checkdisk and/or recovery console with SET activated, :)
