VLC Player, Windows Media Player are overrated

On Android TV, VLC cannot handle video files with unusual aspect ratios. I simply don't get how the world's most popular video player is unable to make a video go full screen without affecting the video's original aspect ratio.

In Windows 10/11, Microsoft claims the built in media player can handle MKV videos, which is a lie. I have never been able to get anime video's subtitles to display properly or at all when using WMP!

Junk softwares from overrated companies!

What has worked for me:

Kodi on Android TV
Deepin movie player on Linux

Potplayer on Windows works great. Also Media Player Classic. On Linux SMPlayer works fine. The reason anime videos from fansubbers give you trouble is because they insist on using animated ass subtitles that WMP can't handle well.
