    Evening parytgoers,
Installing a fresh version of XP Pro on my brothers pc. Scrolling on webpages and any kind of video is choppy. I downloaded the video drivers something called Catalyst. The video card is a Radeon something something, I forget.
The drivers did help because earlier it was much worse. I figure that I am probably missing something that is a rather easy fix.
Thank in advance for your help.

go to start, right click on My computer, choose manage, then choose device manager,
In device manager are there any warnings or errors?

    if so for which device?

    Do the following:
Click Start, Run and in the box enter:

    msinfo32

Click OK, and when the System Summary info appears, click Edit, Select All (Ctrl-A), Copy (Ctrl-C) and then paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here in your next reply.
You can edit out any personal information.
    -----------------

for any device with a warning, while in the msinfo window, expand that category and include that info also with copy/paste.

Here you go. Would using my 42" tv have an effect on this process? I have my personal pc connected to my tv and I am working on my brothers pc via Remote Desktop ( his pc is sitting right next to mine though so I have immediate access).
    Thanks again for your help.
BTW, Pensacola here, and lots and lots of rain today.

    Elizabeth,
I'm feeling kinda foolish right now, (more than my usual self) but I never occurred to me to check the audio. Sooo when I went to play some audio files the same choppiness, if that is a word, happened. So, both audio and video have issues.
I played the personal video and audio thru the VLC player and YouTube did not work as well.
I hope this will help narrow this down for us and the light bulb will go off in our head and we will be able to figure out what it is.
Thank you again in advance for your help.

please answer the questions I asked and post the audio info also.

I need to know if there are any yellow exclamation points in device manager, this tells you that a driver is needed, or not properly installed.
