Only took me giving up two times trying again but it finally let me get in.

Only thing left is to wait for the new computer case and power supply.

Other than that I gotta do something about the gpu. I currently have a r5 220 2gb that I’ve had for a good 2 years now. It works and lets me have a screen of 1360x768 but I can’t seem to get any hdmi sound out of it. Is there anyway to get any or should I just downgrade to a gt710 since I already have the files to get it installed and working with hdmi sound?

As always the biggest obstacle for running any Windows version with your desired hardware is the availability of drivers. In your case there aren't any XP drivers for your R5 220, only for Windows 7 & higher (and surprisingly, Linux).

Without the right drivers you won't get HDMI sound or hardware acceleration so your best bet would be the gt710 for XP.
