Has anyone heard that IE has to be installed and working in order that Skype 6.18 will work? I was told that by the Mod of Skype community, and just wondered....

Today, Skype support is telling me that, in order to use Skype on Windows, it has to be the latest version of Windows. The requirements stated on their page must be outdated, as there it is quoted that Win XP PRO SP3 is good.
I wish there was someone, somewhere, that one could talk to, that understands that the problem is with Skype, not the individual's machine.....

Is anyone, beside me, having trouble signing into Skype using either, or both, their Skype sign-in, and/or their Microsoft sign-in?
I was forced, nearly a month ago, to update to the latest Skype version, and as soon as I did, I could no longer sign-in using my Microsoft sign-in. and according to Skype, the problem is on my machine? Can someone please explain how one version works perfectly, and the next version, there is a problem on your machine, and not theirs???
