XP is not shutting down properly. When I click the Shut Down option, it goes to the shutdown screen but does not power off. Anyone know what causes this?

All right, my issue has disappeared, so I'll just hope it doesn't return.

An app remaining open when you try to power off can cause that to happen.

Can you click on the "Click here" button and upload a screenshot of the results? That should help us diagnose the problem.

Sorry, but I meant the blue link right above the Send Error Report button. If you could click on that link and show us what it says, it would be a big help.

    HOPE I AM WRONG

I had this happen to me when my mechine was hacked and when it was in the middle of sending my flash drive data to the pervert who hacked me, it would not shut down, finally I pulled the dame plug when it did this, and on restart ran a kasperski scan and got the key logger out
