Sharing a program on network

Hello,
I am trying to install a POS system for a friend of mine and he bought a program called foodman do it your self the instructions that the person gave me after I downloaded the file are:
Click on Start
Click on Run
Type in (for example) G:\nickis.EXE

IMPORTANT: WHEN INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE BE SURE TO CHANGE
THE DESTINATION FOLDER TO C:\XSS (SERVER-STATION) OR C:\XHD
(HOME-DELIVERY)

He claimed that I have to install his software only on one station and after the drive is shared it should be accessible from the client computer.
I have followed every step and shared and give permissions to access the drive but I can not access it I keep getting this error :
load failure (173) on file SP2
Application terminated
I have tried contact support but they are not all that great and I have read that when sharing you need the dlls and the registry for that specific program to run on the computer.
Thank you.

Try them out to see if they work out OK. You need a minimum of
512mg of RAM to run dependably. Foodman will not run on 64-bit
versions of Windows without using XP compatibility mode which
is provided in the more expensive versions.

from here

do you have a 64 bit system??

The versions of Windows which come with computers from
the big companies like Dell, HP, etc. have customized
versions of Windows which may not be compatible with other
hardware. Also, when in need of support you have to call
the appropriate manufacturer. For this reason, we recommend
buying computers which do not have Windows installed and
buying your own version of Microsoft Windows. Those computers
also come pre-loaded with lots of software which you
will probably never use (or even know about) and which
may well cause problems. And, you can get support directly
from Microsoft rather than the manufacturer.

from here

what is the make, model, and model number of pc??

laptop or desktop??
