Shared folder opens but not subfolders?

    Hi, I have two PC's set up both running Windows XP Pro, I created a folder and assigned permissions under the sharing tab and security tab. The folder opens fine.... word docs or excel files open just fine under the network folder, but folders inside the network folder do not open. Any idea what could cause this? Thanks.
