Sculptris Alpha6 - Still Available Still Good For XP>>>

I recently noticed that it's hard to find Sculptris but Softpedia still has it... A very cool & simple sculptor...

Sculptris was bought up by Pixologic (The Zbrush Peeps) and offered out free for a few years... Everyone thought they were gonna make a cool Sculptris out of it but no... NO!!... Instead they incorporated it into Zbrush... what?...WHAT?!... Zbrush don't need the Sculptris features what a waste...

The GUI is nice to behold but not perfect for resources as your poly count goes up so does CPU so one must be thrifty in sculpting... About 5 years ago I had a project I had to abandon because I was wasteful in the beginning with poly count...

Sculptris also does painting using it's own 'MatCap' materials it can do some things inside itself that can't be done in other programs... It also 'Auto-UV's your model when it enters the paint room which is nice I always thought making UVs was a waste of time anyway... You can also bring in a model into the paint room from 'outside' then export it out before painting on it to UV a model in lazy fashion....

I have extras if anyone gets interested many materials, guides, etc...

One issue you probably will run into when attempting to import an OBJ of any kinda character is this-

Usually it's the EYES but could be other factors as well... If you can delete the eys in another app before importing then that's probably the best since you can easily make new ones inside Sculptris...

In this case the mesh looked pretty good but no go...
