Screen Playing up!

    Hi, on my XP pc a quarter of the screen is black and at the bottom of the screen it has doubled up! Here are some pictures: Look at the top and bottom and the sides.

    safe mode did nothing??

    do you mean the screen was not distorted in safe mode?

    did you uninstall your video driver?

    It looks to me a fresh install, I would recommend to you download your correct driver.
    Please specify the details to so we can find drivers and such for you.

    Does your screen have any offset settings? Check those, also before you go reinstalling try setting your display resolution back an fourth to see if it's anything to do with the drivers or display mode.

    I plug various computers into an Acer w/s monitor. When switching monitors, I get a black bar, usually on the right or left side(s). The Acer has an 'Auto adjust' button, pressing it (twice) causes the screen image to shift R and/or L & then widen/narrow as necessary to fit. Always happens after computer switch. Dont know if this helps, , , ,
