Is there a way to PERMANENTLY remove the RECYCLER and SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION directories in XP? I KNOW you can manually remove them (I have done so), I know how to disable the recycler and restore point garbage in XP and have done so, but despite this windows persists in recreating those 2 directories on EVERY hard drive attched to the system. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS - please tell me there is some way to stop it FOREVER. Don't waste your breath on why I need these features - I have multiple backups and do not need WINDOWS to bloat my time with its automatic garbage - the fewer directories i have to sort through the happier i am. THANK YOU if anyone has a viable solution.:p
