Recovering Photos from an Old Compaq 110 Computer

Hello everyone,

I have an old Compaq 110 computer that won't power on, and it holds photos from 2005 of my deceased cat, which are very important to me. I've tried charging it, but it still won't turn on. Is there any way to retrieve my photos?

So it's a laptop. Since it won't power on the only way to recover anything would be to remove the hard drive and connect it to another computer as a secondary drive to copy what you need to the primary drive.

And when connecting the drive to another computer, I would recommend booting that computer into some sort of linux live cd like parted magic that can mount the drive read-only. I would immediately copy those files off or image the whole drive as an older drive might die on you at any second.
