    I'm running XP Service Pack 3 on a Dell Dimension B110 and every program besides Firefox, IE, and Chrome can connect to the Internet. Even when the browsers are already open, programs trying to use the internet will crash or do nothing.

    Examples:

    Using Mozilla Thunderbird, I click on a link in an email and nothing happens.
    Using the NES emulator Jnes, I click on the homepage button and nothing will happen.
    Using an Xbox 360 file extractor Horizon, I update and get this error message:

    See the end of this message for details on invoking
    just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    You say you can access the net with Firefox, IE, and Chrome?

    Can I suggest you dump Chrome as a start. It's buggy and tends to cause problems with XP. (Not really sure why you have it and firefox, but anyway).

    Are you asking for some help with these crashes? Apologies, because this isn't very clear?

    Assuming you are, it does sound like some conflicts. As a start, Can you post a Belarac Advisor list of your installation?
