Problems With Computer Recognizing Flash Drives

    I have several different sizes of USB flash drives. XP seems to recognize some fine, some partially and some not all all.

    Any advice on where I should start looking for a way to solve this problem?

    It's kind of weird. I have a 1 Gig Sony and 2 x 2 Gig Kingstons that it always recognizes. I have 4 drives that are identical and I think they are 8 Gig. Sometimes it recognizes one. Often not. Today it recognized that I had installed one, and it showed up in the drive list, but I couldn't access it, or even format it.
