trying to get the updates for xp from the catalog but nothing happens when i hit the download button? when using win 10 is there a patch or other link needed to make it work?
cheers phill

not sure how to do it from win 10, but in xp go to start/all programs/ at top of right column is a link to windows update, will take you to update page in IE, but for windows update to work you have to have sp3 and ie8 installed.

dont put new fox on your pc can not get rid of it ,wont uninstall

there is either a separate installer for certain programs, or you can use Revo uninstaller, or you can go through the registry using Find, and delete all entries pertaining to that which you wish to delete or, you can do a restore to a point where this was not installed. :)

ty took the long root went through reg and deleted from there :) happy days

a side not there are 51 updates on ms catalogue only 7 wont install on my xp may be for the embedded version but slid them into a xp disk for safe keeping:)

when you download several updates and install at the same time, windows will not install an update that has either been incorporated into a hotfix or into a newer update, save them by all means, but you do not need to install them, once your pc is updated take a listing of all your updates so that you can compare other installations to see that none are missing, :)
