    Hey everyone,

So this is an acer windows XP that I found lying around so I thought I'd start it up. So I power it on, and at first it makes the normal sound but the screen stays black. If i leave the computer like this, after around 15 mins the following screen suddenly appears:

s29.postimg DOT org/3sarpszrr/image.jpg (won't let me post images?)

I tried plugging in a mouse and keyboard but nothing does anything!

I know there isn't data in the computer that I want to keep... And is there anything I could try that might let it boot?

Thank you so much for your help in advance :)

you need to pull the drive and slave it to another pc to see what is on it or even if the drive is any good.

I think the only other windows computer I have is a small laptop (currently windows 7).. Can I put the hard drive into any pc or does it have to be an XP?

    Thanks
