Phlox 1.2

From the site:
"The object of the application is to provide your Windows XP with the same file renaming style that Windows Vista has. Which style is that? If you have Windows Vista configured to show the file extension (that point and letters after the file name), when you press the F2 key to rename a file it will only select the name part of the text and not the extension."

Would be quite useful to me actually, but as I try to download it my AV (Malwarebytes) starts shouting that it will make my PC grow tentacles and melt down my hard drives...

Thanks Rereser, I tried it. But either the file is jinxed, or I am :(

Chiron, what browser are you using? Any ad-blockers/hosts file?

If anyone is ever worried about viruses in downloads, simply download and execute it inside a Virtual Machine (with storage set to non-persistent), and observe because your safety glass.
Or, as I did in the good ol' days before VMs, run RegShot and take a snapshot of the registry and Windows folder before and after executing a suspect file, and then use the comparison button :)

I've tried Firefox, Vivaldi and Opera, and they all complain about something wrong being returned following to the request and refused to continue. Quite funny indeed, as usually Softpedia's links work pretty smoothly.

And no, "fürchte mich weder vor Hölle noch Teufel", I'm working on two very tiny disposable systems - XP and (for internet only) Win7 - that get both restored daily sector-by-sector from a safe backup after malware-checking whatever I want to keep and saving it on an external drive - an armored condom, so to speak.
But if some mysterious conspiracy prevents me from getting even near to the coveted phlox1.2, there isn't much I can do. :(

Unless, of course, some charitable soul cares to upload it somewhere else on the web and hand me the download link in exchange for a beer...
