Perhaps You Fancy Music Construction on Feeble Machines?

Or perhaps you would like a 'toy' to play with...

I actively use this OLD Tracker from 2001...It is simple, sounds good, fast workflow, doesn't require install, I have it working on all my XP machines & one windows 10 machine as well, should work on anything. Uses virtually NO CPU, very little RAM and the crowning feature is that it is crash free & only 460 KB directory size!... Yes after having used it all this year it has never crashed and that is inspiring in itself. It is only 460 KB in size yet has a very nice sounding internal synth that is mono-poly & multi-timbral!!

Great freeware from yesteryear...

Alluring retro GUI this started out as a commercial DOS Tracker by two (genius) Danish University Students who ended up porting to windows in 2001 & giving out free-

You can also just open it up & Synth is ready to play if you just want to play around on your QWERTY as that is the way to play it (MIDI controllers don't work well in it)...

Can it do anything decent?... You be the judge here is my most recent tune-

Sorry, Forgot to add that Alonetone doesn't work right in XP anymore...The 'Play' button acts as a 'Download' button now in most browsers & play function online only on newer systems...

However all my tunes are as attachments over at oldschooldaw...
