    Hello all,
I am new to the forum and reading through it for bit I have seen that users here are vastly informed in all things XP. Which is why I joined.

I have a question, I am currently using a an older thinkpad for my xp professional software and have upgraded everything (that I can anyway) init to make it a better performer. It help a little but still slooooow. Unfortunately I cracked my screen and time for a new one, I know I can replace screen, but time to try to get better performance.

Now for question, what would be a good recommendation for great laptop to install all I have into? I have about 150gb of info on thinkpad now.

    Thanks in advance

you can check the link above for the best laptops for 2104. when you choose one, do a google search for reviews and read several different links, also check in any forums for persons having problems with the particular laptop you choose.

For myself, I would not choose any that did not come with discs to reinstall OS.

all come with a recovery partition and Asus and Acer, want you to burn recovery discs as soon as you get the laptop. I am not sure if the others just have a recovery partition or if you need to burn discs.

    Good luck.
