Over write

    Hi i have a toshiba which has xp pro installed and its bloody slow ,have 1.5. gig ram ,and have recovery discs,but have tried a recovery but no better ,yes done all normal thing dfrag etc ,can i load a stand alone xp home over my xp/pro onto hard drive leaving old o/s there so as to use the drivers,im using adsl+2 internet but its bloody slow ,i have a old desk top with only 500 ram and its quiet quick compared to the toshiba tecra.Awaiting replies thanks.if this doesnt sound right ask me how?
