Outlook Express message

I have Windows XP and Office 2002. I do not use Windows Express, and it is not listed in the add/remove programs list. However, at every start-up, an message aks if I want Outlook Express to compress it messages. How do I get rid of this?

I do not use outlook express either and I have it disabled in windows components,

below are two google pages with hits on first disabling outlook express in xp

and then how to clear the message you are getting, but if you disable express you should not receive that message again.
