Ok, what about certain adult sites on XP?

Hi.

Is there any current up-to-date browser for XP that will play videos from PornHub?

Or even some sites that ain't displaying on Windows XP at all, like EvilAngel(the login page shows up but it'll just get pitch black after logging in)?

I have tried Arctic Fox and MyPal(although MyPal has been dropped) and both won't do it.

Is there any other browser to try?

just use codec pack of your choice, i use mypal have no problems, but use duck duck go as my browser ,
but not porn ,wife says no need , to down load movies use fire fox and a add on down loader will find works fine on xp

I don't want to download, actually(I'm not a hoarder).

I'm talking about watching them directly from streaming from sites like PornHub. Whenever I open PornHub the video player is stuck(there's not even a play button). This actually happens to other sites, not just adult ones. Even with MyPal or Arctic Fox.

The EvilAngel thing is from an old account I have that's now expired, but just served as an example that certain sites are not displaying correctly, again, with MyPal or Arctic Fox.

There's a new version available of Arctic Fox(27.12.0) but you have to compile the files yourself and I just don't know how to do that(I'm using 27.11.0 since there's a link to download it already compiled). There's no download link for the already compiled 27.12.0 anywhere. Arctic Fox seems to be better than MyPal alternative since MyPal is abandoned now.

 

Pornhub seems to work if you change MyPal's useragent to Firefox 55 Windows 7.

Type about:config in the URL bar and you will be shown advanced configuration options.

On the next screen right-click anywhere on the browser window and select New->String.


In the 'New string value' dialog box type in
general.useragent.override



When you are prompted for a new string value enter the following:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0

To verify go to https://www.whatismybrowser.com/ and it should indicate that you are running Firefox 55 on Windows 7. Can't test evilangel since I don't have an account.

Not with EvilAngel post-login, though. I find funny that EvilAngel will load normally on ancient Firefox 52.9.0 but won't load on Mypal/Arctic Fox for whatever reason.

The Wordpress post editing page is another example of address that's won't load on older browsers and neither MyPal and Arctic Fox.

 

You're probably out of luck in these cases then, it's likely it's relying on some sort of DRM/WidevineCDM and/or 'JS that has not been tested in anything but V8'.

Chrome playback of video on XP is generally pretty choppy and broken (at least on the Chinese forks) so avoid those, official stable 49 is too old to bother with now sadly.

Yandex.Browser MAY work with ProxHTTPSProxy (available from NojusK's thread on the escargot forums) which is based on Blink 57, give that a go, though it might still be too old. While the rendering engine for it is only marginally newer than FF52 Blink supports a lot more than Gecko did around that time, I consider the FF4-52 era the worst for Firefox and even now it's a shell of itself from the 3.5 era, so...
