Not really XP related but can I still active Word XP?

I bought some new cds and was wondering before they came if I can still activate them? I’m also wondering the same for Microsoft Works 2001

Oh the cds were two new sets of Microsoft Office xp and it looks like the product key for works is just the product code for word

should still be able to activate the office xp's with the product code on the cases.
