[network bridge] wlan drops as soon as the bridge creates between wlan and lan

Hi i have an issue, i have a certain machine (its an assembled server with xp) wich i want to use to bridge my wlan connection to a switch (ive done that in the past same network but on a normal pc) bascially i use a wireless usb key and want to bridge it to the lan switch. but i cant seem to be able to bridge it.
also when i try to manually connect to the wlan it keeps saying not connected, as soon as the bridge is removed the wlan connects back up immediately, ive tried ipconfig/all and i get only the bridge but not the wlan adapted

basically the network card disappears and the bridge says just that no ip no nothing
also i have to point out an issue i have with this machine i need to disable the lan card to browse internet for some reason
