Mypal browser

So how are you both @ClippyBeer and @boss1968 doing otherwise?

I hope everything is coming along well - I"m still having trouble with yelp so I wonder if you guys might know?! Are you guys able to get results with yelp on Mypal68?

Thanks in advance :)

Not working in MyPal 68.13.8b, working in ArcticFoxie's 360Chrome. Maybe someone who has a Github account can let MyPal maintainer Feodor know about this issue.

The reality is if you're an XP user you need to have both these browsers on your system because you will inevitably encounter a website that works in one but not the other.

Thank you very much. I use Mypal68 most of the time and use ArcticFoxie's 360Chrome for what doesn't work in Mypal. Yes, I remember you saying somewhere else you need to have more than 1 browser on XP as well. Overall I think feodor has done amazing work on FF68 considering its age now and bring the JavaScript up to date and its pretty fast. Sadly I'm not very knowledgeable regarding Chrome browsers and am (likely will always be) learning everyday how to use it but I get discouraged easily.

Thank you again for checking yelp @ClippyBeer and hope you are doing well this year thus far.

Not much HELP with YELP, as it is not working for me, either.

Do you have a direct download link for the ArcticFoxie's 360Chrome ? Many thanks in advance !

So I download the link from dropbox.com ?
Is it an exe. file or is it like MyPal where you just unzip it to a folder and click on the fox icon to use ?
I hope this finds you well today.

Good - you got the 'latest and greatest' but you still need to unzip it to some place on your computer, so yes, its a zip file like Mypal, and once you unzip it and put it where you want it, go ahead and fire up (if you wish) "out of the box" the 360Loader as Acrctic Foxie has done a good job of making sure its secure for us. We trust him.

Good luck and enjoy.

Now don't get the impression I profess to know everything because I'm very much also in the learning phase; myself. @ClippyBeer knows more than I do so please ask him or others here if you need anymore help @boss1968 with using 360 Chrome.

Here is the link that explains better what the 360 loader does from @ArcticFoxie himself.

I'm not the most tech savvy, either, but I am a wee bit confused by what ArcticFoxie said. Is this program an actual web browser, like MyPal, or an app ?

It's hard to keep track since he keeps starting new threads with every new version. Anyway, the version I tested Yelp with is an older version from the link I posted so the newer one should work as well.

It's a Chrome-based web browser like Brave, Vivaldi, Opera etc. Extract the zip and run 360Loader.exe.

So, same like MyPal, basically ? Zip to folder, and then run it from the folder, instead of an install ?

Yes and Yes!
I save the folder to C:\Program Files and create a shortcut and a quick launch to the taskbar so I have the icon.

And the beauty of 360 Chrome is its portable unlike Mypal which saves to your local appdata folders - whereas 360 won't do that and it should'nt save reg entries if you use the Loader.exe as Arctic Foxie recommends.

Okay, so I got it working ! Now, how do I access the 'Chrome store' to download add-ons like ad blocker and the like ?

A member of MSFN has made us aware that if you are experiencing a BSOD that toggling layers.omtp.enabled to "False" will solve this issue.
