I had to reinstall Windows XP on my Gateway. I can't load the driver for the Multimedia audio controller. The driver is Realtec AC 97. When I load the driver a get a message: 'this is no long Microsoft Halo listed, do you want to continue to load?' When I click to continue, the screen goes black and I have to reboot the system. Is there another driver I should be loading. I found this one in CNET.com as the audio driver for Windows XP. I have no sound.
