    hello
today i restarted pc because internet connection didnt work and was bit slow
and when i restarted than all files i had on the desktop are gone and i got logged in with new user on windows instead of administrator
im sure is not some thread because i have nod32 antivirus and im not running any unknown executable files
now when i search some of the files that were at the desktop i can find them under directory users-administrator
but when i click on the file or on the folder it says error Access denied.
and when i go to the administrator folder and click properties it says that folder is empty
only when i search using program Everything i can find the files i had at desktop but cant access to any of them
also i tried to log off the current user but is the only user i have
also i dont have any backups or system restores
the only thing i can think of is i installed program called "PC Booster" and she made all the problems. but i checked about the program and it seems legitimate without any thread or anything
so what else can it be and is there any way to restore all files i had on desktop?
    cheers

I would first uninstall pc booster, then run checkdisk

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265/en-us
    How to perform checkdisk

if you do not have Recovery Console installed, then run from the start menu

go to start, run, type in cmd

in cmd type in chkdsk c: /r and press enter

type Y for yes and press enter

    type exit and press enter

restart pc, allow checkdisk to finish and run again

this is a lengthy process depending on the size of your harddrive, the percentages will fluctuate, this is normal, you can view report in the event viewer.
go to start>run> and type in eventvwr.msc, click on the applications directory, and in the right hand panel choose winlogon.

your files are there, just hidden, can you boot in safe mode, administrator and then give permission for these files.

Also just to point out, antivirus's do not get everything, even if they are a really good one, I would suggest that you run malwarebytes also:

Download, install, update and do full scan with this free malware detection programs:

    Malwarebytes Free (MBAM): http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/

Remove all found, reboot, and run again until scans run clean, these can be removed afterwards if you so choose.

    I agree with Elizabeth.
FilesSearch Tool by KrojamSoft is a great tool for finding the files.
