For those using 360 total security essentials , the last latest version was 8.8.0.1118
I had noticed that bitdefender was not getting updated, so went checking to find out that bitdefender had been removed and a different scanner is now used, however when I clicked on get updates from the 360 menu, which would normally upgrade to the newest version did not do it, so I manually downloaded the 60mb offline installer and the avira database , uninstalled version .1118 , and then installed the newest version 8.8.0.1119

this was just to inform any others using 360 :)

I've been testing Windows XP Pro SP3 since all security and hotfix support ended for it in April 2019.
I'm not aware of any up-to-date antivirus app that will install and work correctly in it.
The current up-to-date version of 360 Total Security is 10.6.0.1392

I use essentials not the full total security, they are 2 different versions, I have no need of all the programs that come with total security. 360 will not work on 64bit xp, but does fine on 32bit. :)

Thanks for the information on the "Essential" version of 360 Total Security.
8.8.0.1119 was released on December 18, 2019, so it's pretty current.

I'll be testing my Windows XP Pro SP3 computer again after April 14th.
I'll find out then if that antivirus app installs and works properly.

After I set up my test computer today, I decided to install 360 Total Security Essential 8.0.0.1119 in it to see if Windows XP SP3 32-bit supports it.
The install process went fine, but my happiness was short-lived when I ran a quick scan with it and several false positives were displayed.
I uninstalled it and will continue to rely on the other security-related apps that I use.

the only false positives I have received are ones dealing with registry fixes that I have made, I simply add these to the trust and go on from there. :)

I have been using this for approx 6 or 7 years now.
