Keyboard/Mouse Driver

Hi,

I am looking for a KU-0833 Amazon Basics wired keyboard/mouse drivers.

The keyboard works with USB3 ports, it hangs with USB2 ports.

---going to give this a try.
How do I reset my USB keyboard?
Reset your wired keyboard
Unplug the keyboard.
With the keyboard unplugged, hold down the ESC key.
While holding down the ESC key, plug the keyboard back into the computer.
Keep holding the ESC key until the keyboard begins to flash.
Unplug the keyboard again, then plug it back in.

OK ... this does happen when I use updated flash drives or wireless keyboards or (little) mice (hehe)

Is your cryptographic service functioning?

I assume you can get as far as "continue" with the unsigned drivers? I can go with continue and everything works, but certainly not a very *secure* way to approach this situation.

I hate to admit it, but I have unsigned drivers for my printers, but, then again, I don't do anything with sensitive information; of course, other than blab my dirty laundry on the net Lol ... but not anymore an certainly not here as you can see - we only have 1 off-topic thread here and I won't create anything new. I only keep shell hardware and plug-and-play on to install and they disable them.

Sorry I hope someone on either here or the other forum will be more helpful to you.

I am in the process of trying to get the unsigned driver removed.

Once the driver is removed, I can look into "Intel MEI or USB or SMBus".

since usb3 works with the kb, has a separate driver.

I have driver signing enabled; It might touch base with cryptographic service.

ok I have removed the driver in safe mode.

Every time it loaded a driver for the KB, I hit delete when it did not install successfully.

When it installed a signed kb driver, the KB started working.

when I buy flash drives I get usb 3 with backwards capability to usb 2, maybe your keyboard does not have backward capability?

When I orginally setup this motherboard, The USB2 ports worked and a the driver had to be installed for USB3.

I had to pick the USB2 ports to install Windows.

Tried a mouse and it did not detect or download the drivers. This fixed It. I moved it to the inf directory c:\windows\inf.

1. Download the file USB.INF to your desktop.
2. Right click on the inf file and go to install inf.
3. If step 2 doesn't work. Move USB.INF to the system directory.

- Windows 95,98, and Me - C:\Windows\System
- Windows 2000 & NT - C:\WINNT\System32
- Windows XP,Vista, and Windows 7 - C:\Windows\System32

Thank you for the file and glad you got things working.

Do you have the options EHCI (usb2) Hand-Off and XHCI (usb3) Hand-Off in your BIOS? I do:

hand-off Disabled means the BIOS keeps control of USB devices detected during POST.
hand-off Enabled means the OS takes over control of those detected devices.

So in case you run into future USB problems, you could disable one of those hand-off settings.
