if i add more ram to my xp pc then will that add more ram to direct x

    hi i have a windows xp computer and i am trying to upgrade it but the direct x requirements just fall short for windows 7. if i add more ram to my computer then can i add more ram to my computer therefore upping direct x ram?

    Do you mean to ask will it run on XP? What version of DirectX is it? XP natively supports up to DirectX 9.

    If you upgrade up to 4 GB of RAM, and you have a capable video adapter, I'm sure you will see an improvement in DirectX games and apps. What are you attempting to accomplish?

    i am trying to add more ram to my direct x in order to install windows 7 will i need to upgrade my graphics card for this

    Well Windows 7 will have the newer DirectX installed (v10 by default I think). I would say if you're installing the 32-bit version Windows 7 (not that common), make sure you have 3 GB + for memory.
