I am unable to install new software in my xp Sp 2

    Dear Friends,
    I am on XP service pack 2 , i am unable to install new software on my pc,
    Please help me out from this problem.

    please give more detailed information:

    what exactly is happening any error messages?

    make, model, and model number of pc?

    laptop or desktop?

    32bit or 64bit? and if 32bit, why are you not updated to sp3?

    current antivirus?

    what new software do you want to install?
