HP-ze5185, xp home, Can I Install 98se? Old Equip. runs on dos, upgrade impossible

HP ze5185 laptop with xp home.

Can I load 98se on to this hp laptop? and how?

Have old dos based equipment that I've been running with win98, desktop is dying.
Equip mfg out of business.

you can read the thread above and gain some insights, but, I do not think it is actually possible, as the drivers required for 98 might not be available.

I googled install 98 se on my laptop and got quite a few hits.

One person said it would be better to go buy a really old pc that normally runs 98 and use that, instead of trying to run with xp or any other OS.
