Is there any way of getting this printer to work with winXP? I have an 'old' neighbour who uses a winxp machine (not connected to the internet) to print the labels as hand writing is now difficult. The printer was purchased because she uses Linux and an ipad for most printing. The obvious answer here is to use the linux machine for her labels, and that may indeed be the final solution, but age/familiarity (Word/label software) is an issue here. If I can get the xp machine to recognise the 6032a printer it would save her a lot of heartache. The printer can be physically connect and it does not need 'all the bells and whistles' that it can offer - all that is needed is basic back and white printing. Thank you.

The answer to your question is maybe, bordering on likely. HP do not do a Windows XP driver for HP Envy 6032a Printer, however they do a Windows 7 driver. Many times, these drivers will work. You have not said if they are using 32bit or 64bit. Although it is more likely they will be
using 32bit.

Another thing that I would try, because I am strange like that. Is using an earlier driver from an earlier series of printers. Especially since you don’t wont all the bells and whistles and just need to print.

If you can't manage to get it to work you could try Linux with FreeOffice. It's the most compatible and similar Office software for Linux.
